Collection – WHITE SA2018

The original reference point for the collection WHITE from STATUS BY SHTAMGUTS was a white T-shirt, its functional laconicism served as a canvas for creative quests and transformations of the findings – in details, in silhouettes, in designs. In the sketching process, while listening to the music of the nascent show and letting the sound affect both the mood and the direction of the ideas, the underlying minimalism was saturated with musical emotions. On the other hand, when taking the legacy of women's dress in the 19th century as a reference point towards the end process, the collection acquired its ultimate look. In this way, the initially stylistically unrelated things gradually merged into one layer. The well-known and understandable T-shirt, saturated with Nordic musical magnetism, positioned itself in a set segment of time – now. Therefore the collection is created for spring/autumn 2018. There is no emphasis on one single season. The modern life pace with physical and virtual travels erases seasonal boundaries.

COLLECTION FOR THE FUTURE UTOPIA; BUT PERHAPS FUTURE IS NOW.

Collection in a classic sporty style with romantic elements and avant-garde accessories. An important element is the elastic stitches that are used at the ends of the sleeves, in the belts, and also collar solutions – and so is the creased cloth imitating elastic stitches.
A crucial component for the trousers is the pleat that has been move to side. For one pair of jeans, the moved pleat is replaced by cutting lines, thus, eliminating the side seam.
The men's jacket has an innovative, constructive solution for the sleeve and shoulder portion. The sleeve is cut together with the body part, but it is not a kimono, there are no armpit wedges. Darts take out the excess volume in the armpits. And the comfort of the classic design sleeve is maintained. There is no padding or stiffening. Which provides a relaxed appearance that is more suitable for the pace of modern life.
The blouse and women's trench coat boast an innovative solution for the sleeve design. The armhole has been deepened almost until waist and it is positioned towards the centre of back. Thus, creating a wide sleeve effect up to elbow, while the body part is not widened. From the front, the armhole appears to be of regular width and in its traditional position.
Materials used – cotton shirting fabric, cotton denim, impregnated cotton, polyester, mixed fibres, viscose.
